This photograph screams of Lithuania. I almost always avoided the fascinating misery of Lithuania photographically, and sometimes kick myself for doing so. I think it was something to do with the fact that I'm not that much into negative stuff, plus, in Lithuania at least, it's too easy to photograph this stuff. Or rather it's too easy to do without engaging the viewer intelligently.
Hello. I'm an English photographer currently based in Lithuania. My professional output includes travel, portraiture, experimental street photography and uncovering the veiled peculiarities of daily life. My work features in books, has won competitions and has also been bought by private collectors. This is my blog. You're very welcome to come in and have a look around.

A beer, a cigarette, a baby and a mother-in-law. My kinda woman!

Excellent. This woman could be in the Mary Ellen Mark motel story.
Thanks Michael :)
